looking back
I wrote this post about my daydreams almost a year ago and never actually published it. I was perusing my old drafts and found it surprisingly relevant still, but with slight modifications. As the move to North Carolina looms just days in front of me, I’ve been thinking a lot about where I am in life. Big life changes tend to catalyze introspection for me. All I want to do is turn inward and...

for sale
Hello friends! We are selling a pair of vintage Schwinn World Sport bikes in excellent condition for $350. So if you are in the Twin Cities and interested, send me a note through the Craigslist posting. If you are not interested, but feel like reposting this, I’d be very appreciative. We have to send these on their way by July 29th and we’d like to see them go to a good home!

sign of the times
I had some fun with an old disposable film camera recently. I’ve also been drinking a lot of Grain Belt. Apparently the two go hand in hand. The top sign is in Minneapolis and the bottom sign is in Jamestown, ND.

Ohhh, I just adore this home! White, wood, metal, and lots of books! Those wood “coffee tables” are just incredible. I love the combination of the raw and refined.

all i'd need

west wanderlust // part three
Instax 210 edition. Is it wrong to love one’s own photos so much? I just think instant film captures something so magical. I wish the film didn’t sell out so quickly (and cost so much). I would have been happy just shooting instant the entire trip.
{Locations from top to bottom: Badlands of North Dakota, ditto, view of Billings Montana from the Rimrocks, Beartooth...

calling me
North Carolina is calling me. And I’m listening. Though leaving Minneapolis will be one of the harder things I’ve had to do, because I love this city dearly, I am looking forward to what’s ahead. Family, love, and new beginnings. Jeff and I have put in notice and we’re packing up.
The picture above is of Pilot Mountain, which is near where my parents live. I remember...

west wanderlust // part two
Jamestown, ND edition. This was our first official stop on the road trip west. It was pretty early into our trek, and a bit of an unexpected sojourn, but a fascinating experience all the same. Jamestown is known for its albino buffalo (which we only got to see for a second from a very far distance) and is basically a pioneer town tourist trap. There were pony rides, a giant...
big sky
Nick and Kendra’s Montana wedding was the reason why we took our road trip out west and it was absolutely stunning. Here are just a few shots I took of the day. Our time in Big Sky and Bozeman was so much fun, I almost wanted to move there. And then I remembered winter …
