5 things i heart right now.
1. johnny cash’s video for, hurt. (nine inch nails cover) it is the most incredible, life-affirming, yet somehow heart-breaking thing. and it makes me realize that if i’m lucky enough to reach old age that i want to be photographed often. i think we fear aging too much in this culture, and i want to celebrate it for all that it is - hurt and happiness and everything in between.

Mahoney: No, like, you know, a sparkle.
Henry: I... What kind of sparkle?
Mahoney: Like... something reflective of something bigger that's trying to get out...

good point
“Albert Camus wrote that the only serious question is whether to kill yourself or not. Tom Robbins wrote that the only serious question is whether time has a beginning and an end. Camus clearly got up on the wrong side of bed, and Robbins must have forgotten to set the alarm. There is only one serious question. And that is:
Who knows how to make love stay?
Answer me that and I will tell you...

top 5 most influential albums of my life
albums that have shaped who i am today in some form or another. in order of importance, and in slight homage to high fidelity (not to imply that i’m a music snob, because as you will see, i am far from it).
1. BT - Movement in Still Life. i started listening to this sophomore year of high school. there are no real words to describe my love for bt, and this album specifically. i think it is...
